Year-End Guide
As you close out your year, it is life-giving to reflect on God’s work in your life during the last 12 months. We have put together a check-list of sorts to work through during the last week of the year to prepare well for next year. Many resources you may already be familiar with, but we hope a comprehensive list of recommended resources can encourage you to diligently prepare your heart for what God has planned for you in 2024.
Stewardship Tool
Designed to direct your stewardship of time, talent, and treasures toward things that honor our Lord, this tool has been used at Christ Covenant during our Support the Church emphasis season. You could work through this completely on your own, or with your spouse or with a friend who will hold you accountable.
Discipleship Plan
By writing down our commitments, we can have a tangible reminder of where our priorities lie. This Discipleship Plan is given to our new members to help them consider how the Covenant Wheel can strengthen their faith and involvement at Christ Covenant. Not only is this a helpful tool when becoming a member of the church, but it can also be a great yearly tool to discipline yourself in particular areas.
Missions
One of the commitments of every covenant member at Christ Covenant is to take part in Reaching the World. Whether that means you need to pray for our partners on a regular basis, give toward our Missions fund, go on a short-term mission trip, or move jobs to a unreached area of the world, we hope Christ Covenant can support our members to do this with understanding and eagerness. We hope you’ve had time to consider the short-term trips we are offering in 2024 and will pray about which trip may work for you next year.
Personal Profile
Updating your profile in our database is a great way to end the year, ensuring your address, members of your household, your email, etc. are all correct! Not only does this set you up to receive your giving statement on-time, but it will help us communicate to you most effectively.
Giving
We know there are many things to give to, but we do hope that you will be especially generous to Christ Covenant, your local church. These decisions in faith that we make today have a long-lasting impact on the next many years of ministry and even for eternity. So let's all partner together in faith this December and give generously to the work of our Lord.
If you plan on year-end giving this week, please note that gifts counted toward the 2023 tax year must be received by Dec. 31st. Our offices are closed Dec. 26–30, but gifts can be collected at Sunday services on Dec. 31st.
